I really shouldn't have bought this but I couldn't help myself! I've been wanting to go to a Final Fantasy concert for YEARS now and FINALLY they're holding one in a location I can actually get my ass to. I was so sad that I couldn't go to the one in Baltimore a couple years ago and I didn't want to miss out again.
Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy!! I can't wait to go!! <3 (please don't stalk me)
I got a nice seat too but I couldn't afford the VIP ticket where you can meet Nobuo Uematsu afterwards and get a photo and autograph. :( Perhaps next time...

Here's some other things I received this week. :D
Yesterday I got my first non-Japanese doujinshi and of course it's Professor Layton. <3
It's in Chinese and I can't read a damn thing!! SO MUCH KANJI! (I think I made out "rain" and "professor" but only because they're the same in Japanese.) I guess this is how everyone around me feels when they look at my Japanese manga/games/CDs and so on. XD
I can't wait to scan this! (When will my other Layton doujinshi arrive!? They're taking forever!! ;_;) It has super adorable cute artwork and it's pretty long too! <3
And finally, also yesterday, I received the second Dexter novel, Dearly Devoted Dexter, from PaperBack Swap. It had been on my wishlist for a couple months.
And yay! It's here. I'll be taking a short break from my commute knitting to read this book instead. I'll probably be done with it by the end of the week. It's really easy to read.

Dexter Morgan is a fictional character in a series of novels by Jeff Lindsay, including Darkly Dreaming Dexter (2004), Dearly Devoted Dexter (2005), Dexter in the Dark (2007) Dexter by Design (2009) and Dexter is Delicious (2010). In 2006, the first novel was adapted into the Showtime television program Dexter and its companion web series Dexter: Early Cuts.
In both the novels and the TV series, Dexter is a forensic blood spatter analyst who works for the Miami Police Department; in his spare time, he is a serial killer but only preys on other murderers who have escaped the justice system. He follows an elaborate code of ethics and procedures taught to him in childhood by his foster father, Harry Morgan (which he refers to as "The Code" or "The Code of Harry"), which hinges on two principles: Dexter can only kill people after finding evidence that they are guilty of murder, and he must dispose of all evidence so he never gets caught.
The program's first season was largely based on the first novel, Darkly Dreaming Dexter, but the following seasons veered away from the book.
In the television program, Dexter is played by Michael C. Hall. He has received rave reviews for his portrayal, both critically and popularly, and he won a Golden Globe award in 2009 for Best Actor in a Television Series or Drama for his portrayal of Dexter Morgan in the fourth season.
I love this series and the wait for the season 5 DVDs to be released is killing me!! (ha ha)
