*Mina sits alone in a small, secluded corner of the garden. She has a book open on her lap, but she's not reading it. She seems rather contemplative, and she'd like company.*
In her current state, Cassandra spends a lot of time wandering around looking for a quiet place to be by herself. However, when she sees Mina, she smiles for what is probably the first time in days, "Mina," she says softly, "I am very glad to see you."
Cassandra looks down and laughs lightly. "Oh, horrid," she says in a forcibly cheery voice. "It's been a rough couple days, settling in and all that..."
*Lets go of one of Cassandra's hands, though she holds the other just a tightly, and puts an arm around her, drawing her gently close to her* It's all right, you can cry.
[Typist:...All right, so I don't know why Mina is paralleling the blood exchange scene, but at least the context is different.]
Cassandra continues to cry, squeezing Mina's hand in what might be an uncomfortable manner. "T-thank you," she splutters through her tears. "I-it's just so hard - and the book - and I don't know what to do."
*Doesn't really react to Cassandra's uncomfortable grip - she's dealt with worse* You're welcome. *pause* The book? *even more gently, if possibly* You can take me, if you want to.
Cassandra looks at her feet. "I read something yesterday," she says to the ground. "It was about me. My life. In a book. And it was something I didn't want to remember...and now it's all I can think about."
