okay, i spent $41 in borders today. and over half of that went to buying the first tpb of the young avengers. it's so AWESOME! :) yeah, wiccan and hulkling are brilliant (and canon!) and the whole deal with iron lad was very interesting. i almost bought the novel, a very long engagement. but borders didn't have a copy of it in french and i would've felt too wasteful paying $14 for a book that i already own but can't seem to find.
we watched dead poets society in speech class today. it's really an amazing and inspiring film. so, to those of you who haven't seen it, you should. :) i also managed to read over 100 pages of angels & demons during class. it's really very intriguing and makes me want to go to rome again just to see all the landmarks mentioned. i almost bought the da vinci code book that has pictures of all the artwork mentioned but it was $20 something.
i'm curious: why do people hate owen hargreaves? i don't really know much about him at all but apparently he was booed the other day for something. and in other sports news: come on, dallas! my order of basketball team loyalties: spurs, rockets, mavericks. it might seem odd to support all three texas teams when they're rivals. but really, i don't watch the sport except for the playoffs and finals. the problem i have with basketball is the amount of "fouls" though. it's irritating. :P but yeah, a part of the sport.
edit: damn it! i just realized that i'm going to miss the germany vs poland match because of my clarinet lesson tomorrow. although, i could get home by 2pm (when the match starts), i'd have to leave 45 minutes later to make it to my lessons on time. i usually just go to a bookstore in that time. i don't know. should i just watch the first half of the match? but i might get to my lesson late. who am i kidding? i'm going to be coming home to be glued to my tv before leaving at the last possible moment or when halftime is called. and then i'm going to spend my lessons wondering over what'll be happening. i thought this match was on thursday. :( ah, c'est la vie.
