Knitting
Okay! Project role call! Older finished work:
A modified
Serpentine, for one of my belly dance teachers, Michelle. :] She loved them. These were finished back in like, November.
Newer (finished in the past week, or started recently) (Blurry because I'm an impatient photographer :[ ):
Three Gauge Beret Done and I love it love it. It took me a long time, considering I took a few weeks-break from knitting and I was working on it slowly. But, it's done! Yaaay!
Calorimetry This knit up huge, because I didn't swatch up first like an idiot. It's for my mom, though, who has a big head (bigger than mine, and my head is deceptively fat), and she can use it as a neckwarmer.
Unfinished:
Knitty's
Lacey is going to be so pretty when I finally finish it. It's moving slow, lace is something I'm still getting used to.
Baby Cable Rib Neckwarmer will be a great way to use up what's left of Mom's Calorimetry, and it's really pretty and I can't wait to finish it.
A second take on
Evangeline, a fairly simple but pretty armwarmer pattern. These are for Kathy, my other belly dance teacher.
Modeling
The shoot with Tracy I did back in November. I haven't been very LJ (or modeling for that matter) active in light of recent events, but I wanted to show these here anyway 'cause they're cool :D
I'm using this break now as an opportunity to start working on stuff while I work through emotional things. Let's hope I can be productive (I will be)! Apart from knitting, I'll be reading, working on my website, perhaps modeling (depends on if I can get a shoot in before I go back to school), and of course, thinking about what art to do and create it. It's the new year, dammit. Time to shake off the old year like an old skin. I don't make resolutions, I just plan to make this year better than the last. I did that last year, and I kept my promise for the most part. The only difference is I feel that I'm starting the year feeling single, fresh, and a little gunshy.
P.S.: Max brought this to my attention:
We Feel Fine is a project that grabs feelings from people in the blog ether and turned it into interactive art. Take a look.
