These sorts of posts are inevitable this year, as it is truly campaign season. I'd like to draw attention to this article, and in particular the letter in the article written by Anne Kilkenny--why? Because I find it quite interesting, if not informative and well-balanced. She shows Palin's strengths but then points out her weaknesses--it's an interestingly written argument, if anything. But past all that I think it sheds light on a politician that most people don't know about nor do they understand. It doesn't make me want to vote for her and McCain any more than it did when it was just McCain running for himself.
http://www.snopes.com/politics/soapbox/sarahpalin.asp I wasn't a big fan of Kerry because he didn't convince me that he was a strong leader, among other things. Obama, however, has definitely got my interest piqued, and it's why I am voting for him in November, if only because he's stuck to his guns, so to speak. He's played the political game but (from my knowledge) he hasn't resorted to name-calling or bashing. He sticks to policies and plans. So far the only arguments against him have seemed marginal at best, which is also why I'm interested.
