I usually don't do this...

but I'm just a little bit upset. I read a story on my local news's website about a young child who had to go through the new security procedures at an airport. It got me thinking. Why is this acceptable for any age? When did the federal government decide to take things this far. I know we've been losing many of our personal rights over the last few years in the name of safety, and some of them I even agree with. But this? I don't know. I'm seriously considering not flying anywhere while this is taking place. That shouldn't be too difficult as I can't really afford to go anywhere right now anyway. Even after that though, I think I'm done flying for a good while. At any rate, I've been thinking the airlines are charging more than what's reasonable, so now I don't have to worry about that either.

My sad little herb garden is trying. I'll have to post pics up some time. Looks like the only thing that's doing fairly well is the chamomile. I'm thinking that maybe it's a little too cool to leave them in the window over night now, so I'm going to have to start getting in the habit of pulling them out at night and putting them back in the morning. I also have a pretty mum on my patio that's doing pretty well, but I need to go dead head it. I wonder if I can get seeds from it and grow my own next fall.

I've stopped driving out to DS twice a week to work out. Not that I don't want to exercise any more, but as a matter of principle. My aunt seems to be under the impression that the road b/t here and there is only accessible to me. I'll be going out there for Thanksgiving, but that will be the last time for a while. I'm very tired of spending twice as much on gas for little to no results.

Other than that, things are going remarkably well. I love this time of year, with the air cooling off and the idea that winter is just around the corner. Of course, I need to get some firewood since I now have a fire place. Would be a shame not to use it! ^_^
