Brief Pit Stop

Thought that I'd post another events of what I'm upto and whats going on in and around the world of Min!

Now that my temprement has simmered down from last week I've ended up being fairly busy this week (partly intentionally as S/B's off in the states again on a late notice/volunteer work visit) have submitted a shed load of job applications (a few that I am actually really serious about the others are potentials) and spent quite a lot of tues fielding phone calls from relevant recuitment agents.
I have an interview for my current position (yipeee) at the end of the month, this is my back up - this is based on the fact that at this moment in time I am mostly doing data entry.

I have an interview tommorow for a waste/recylcing company, jobs a little bit of a divergance from HR but the company and working ethos sound good so I'll see how it goes. A good working environment and room to develope (even if I stick it out a year or two) is far more important than getting stuck in (poorly paid) HR job in a role that I dislike and a company structure that drives me nuts. We'll see, I'm holding out for an interview at Chester University for a Admin post in the L&D team which would be the ideal combo.
Good pay, right development area, little travel...

Speaking of development I have decided that the career route that I want to go down is careers advisor. I think that this is a bit of a 5 year plan job as to be able to do the training you need either an extensive portfolio or working in a role that you can do a lot of the tasks - as its kinda work based. So I'm going to keep that in mind.  Also the local uni that do it - manchester, seem to operate the rather crazy part time option of we don't provide a timetable for the lectures till the start of the term... so sounds like I need to be settled somewhere before I think about seriously taking that one up

Other than that I am in desperate need of a holiday, I know this, the horrific bags under my eyes are proof that I need a break and have a rest for a week or so. Working on that - ideally ties in with the new job thing.

Right I need to do some Ironing for afformentioned interview... then a bath and bed.
