froggie!!
while working in the yard yesterday afternoon, i spotted this little guy hopping away from me, he was so cute and tiny we had to take photos
that's him sitting in my hands. remember my hands are basically child-sized, so you can imagine how teensy the froggie is.
he's less than an inch long, for reference. so cute! and so hoppy, he could jump really far, i was surprised.
i think he's a pacific chorus frog, also known as a pacific tree frog. you can hear a blurb about them (including their ribbety chorus) from the audubon society here.
