Cremoso: Brigid's Eternal Fire-
a mysterious antique bookshop full of leather bound poetry books, sweet church incense, cherry- dusted pipe tobacco, moss covered stone around a well of holy water, red spices and flame....
Wet: Strong "medicine" like leather!! Can we say WET leather?? Yeh, like the expensive leather chair in some rich person's personal library.
Dry: Leather has come down a bit and I can start smelling the tobacco and spices and incense. There's none of that sharp leather here anymore, instead it's a refined, wet, smokey sweet "dirt" like aroma.(have you ever smell a wet pebble that you picked up from a beach? yep, that's the smell) The sweetnes here in a way sorta smells like dark raw brown sugars to me though(or that dried candied fruits?). I'm also glad the dried down isnt TOO spicy. It's just right....just a hint here and there.
Verdict: Such a wonderful blend!!!! I have never like a blend with leather note in it but this one just blew me away!! So regal, so ancient, and I can really picture myself entering an old library full of antique books, expensive cherry-wood desk, and Queen Ann style leather chair!!! If Vestal virgin priestess wore perfum and perfom rituals by a big pit of fire, this perfume would be it! I think the description for this blend is right on. The sillage is excellent on me and I like how the oils "morphs"! Now I would not hesistant to try othe Cremoso blends. Yay! :D
Velvet Moon Bathery Forbidden perfume oil- Temptation at it's finest! Dark sinfully rich scents of Black Raspberry, Black Cherry, Apple Blossoms and Wine are topped of with a bite of earthy Patchouli. To indulge yourself in this one is definitely not forbidden.
Wet: Errrr where cant I semll anything?....Very faint...!!!! Then.....wow, patchouli!!!! Then a soft, smooth, creamy spiciness starts to amp up.
Dry: Smells like a spiced carnation-jasmine patchouli blend to me. I honestly cannot detect black raspberry or the black cherry....and the apple blossoms I know about it's always more on the jolly side. Not here. Now, I do smell the wine. It's a dry red wine type of scent and sadly patchouli seems to dominate here.
Verdict: Maybe Forbidden isnt for me but I do like how the oil morphs. Sillage is pretty nice here! (i had to wash it off because it got toooo spicy and too much patchouli in one dose for me).
Nocturne Alchemy's: Egyptian Caramel Coffee.
"I’ve sat in this café before entertaining myself over and over with many returning cups of ‘licorice tea’. This time I am told over and over by the English in my hotel to have the Caramel Coffee and rave they go on and on. I attest to order another Licorice Tea but I am swayed to the cold this morning in Cairo has brought upon the city. I order the Egyptian Caramel Coffee expecting to have a rich black coffee covered in sugar. I am wrong. Deep coffee infuses the air as it is sat in front of me. Sitting on top of it a stiff foamy peek the colour of caramel and the scent of the Gods. Bringing it closer to my nose I inhale so much more. As it falls down my palette I am rushed full of giddiness and absolution. If there were any affinitive flavour to make a person fuel forward it is this. A positive sense has come across me and I must, without hesitation, return to the dig and find the treasure of lost Pharaohs I have searched my life for. Always move forward no matter what the day brings.”
Egyptian Black Coffee, Egyptian Caramel, Sweet Milk and more caramel offered by the Gods.
Wet: Strong Coffee with a dash of sugar cube! Caramel presents itself a bit later on. It's sweet, but not in that icky sickly sweet manner. The caramel here is very soft, not a salty, taffy-ish, chewy gooey caramel scent.
Dry: Caramel faded a bit but the sugared coffee still lingers around. It is bit mellowed, still some what creamy, except with a hint of some Eastern spices lurking with the coffee mixture. Delightful indeed!
Verdict: I like it. It's not that bitter expresso coffee scent but a gentle, gourmond, sugared milk coffee scent I adore. The atmosphere is mystic and exotic, just like the land of Egypt!!
Nocturne Alchemy: Gold: Of Egypt Eye of Ra(LE) oil.
Gold of Egypt, Eye of Ra: " We can touch the stars if we choose to. We can reach the Heavens and return again. We can build monuments that still remain today. We can achieve everything and nothing. We can dream upon any land. We can sail down the Nile and understand her strength. We can walk or we can fly. But it is not our choice of who we are. Not within. Not the true within of our souls. We exist based on Love. We exist from the truth of the heart. "
Organic Lime, Vanilla Absolute, Mandarin, Nutmeg, Amber and pure Jasmine from Aswan.
I feel quiet powerful and sexy wearing this scent. It's warm, soft, like wrapping a cashmere blanket on bared skin that kind of cozy sexy. It's not a fragile sexy, it's the I am ready to kick some serious ASS sexy! The blend starts off rather masculine, but NOT too bad to the point where I smell like a man, it's just a bold, strong, powerful(like the supreme sun god of Heliopolish Ra himself!) with a hint of sweet-gourmand undertone. It's probably the flowers(jasmine or what it smells like lotus) coming out. The fruits, vanilla, and amber make the scent more refined as it dries down...it isnt as masculine anymore but a soft gentle stroke of warmness on my skin.
BPAL: The Jersey Devil
"It was about three feet and half high, with a head like a collie dog and a face like a horse. It had a long neck, wings about two feet long, and its back legs were like those of a crane, and it had horse's hooves. It walked on its back legs and held up two short front legs with paws on them. It didn't use the front legs at all while we were watching. My wife and I were scared, I tell you, but I managed to open the window and say, "Shoo", and it turned around barked at me, and flew away."
The scent of the wild, hauntingly beautiful Pine Barrens of New Jersey! Pitch pine with blackberry leaf, cranberry, cedar wood and tomato leaf.
Ohhh how magical BPAL can morph!!!! At first I didnt like the scent but 3 mins later I was in AWE! It starts off as very dark and very raw-ish needle pine ka-pow..l but then the tart, but juicy cranberry kicks out the pine and made it really sweet and daring!!! Sometimes i CAN smell the tomato leaf, other times I cant, but do smell the blackbery leaf. The cedar wood makes it really beautiful, yet haunting!!! This is the scent of solitude, one sits in a wooden cabin, a star-less night, there's a chill in the air, and unknown creatures sitting out there waiting...just waiting for the night to call them out. . The Jersey Devil reminds me so much of Donna Boyd's "The Passion". Such a shapshifter scent.
