(no subject)
I'm comfortable with my decision to abstain from DHpt2 indefinitely, but I still feel like doing something to commenmorate the final film. So I wanted to celebrate what we have to look forward to now in the fandom...reinterpetation, reinvention, and reviving some of the characters who met their demise in the books/movies.
So....I've decided I want to host a Harry Potter Fan Fiction Fest. And I need opinions/advice!
Yeah, I'm nuts.
BUT I want to do it! Of course, I would greatly benefit from having a capable co-host, if anyone wants to volunteer.
And then there's the thought of theme. My original idea is to have a fest focusing on the characters who died, and what we all would've done with them if they hadn't died. BUT then I thought maybe going with either a "write the eighth book", though that would be alot mroe like a Big Bang challenge, wouldn't it? And there's the thought of telling the same stories through different eyes...but I don't think that is a prompt style challenge either.

Harry Potter's Fallen Characters Get New Life On All Souls Day
Ever wonder what Sirius would've done if he hadn't slipped the veil? Or if Severus Snape had escaped the snake? How about Remus Lupin or Tonks or George or any of the other characters in Harry Potter that didn't survive the series. What would their next adventures be? Love found, love lost, family, fame or an escape out of the Wizarding World?

Stories Will Be Posted On Novemeber 1st, All Souls Day
So....thoughts? Suggestions? Comments? I need input! I was hoping to start the comm over the weekend and start advertizing it on Monday. But I feel like it needs a bit of refining, and sometimes you need other eyes on an idea. :)
