BEST DAY EVER!
So today was THE GREATEST DAY OF MY LIFE!!!!! I went to the Broadway Cares Auction/Flea Market and I did/got so much I could die happy. So I'll go in order
We got there and the first thing I hear is Me & My Girl jean jacket, 15 dollars and I was like OMIGOD MY GRANDFATHER WAS IN THAT! So I bought it for 15 dollars and called my mom who started crying. I'm really happy cause now it's like my grandfather can always be with me. Then, I passed the Spring Awakening Table and Emma Hunton/The current girl playing Anna were there and got a 2 dollar pic with them. Then I went on the line and met Alexandra Socha and Gerard Canocio and my convo with them.
Me: Hey, I love Spring Awakening and you youtube videos.
Alexanda: Thanks...is the new one up
Me: The Broadway on Broadway one? *she nods* Yeah, I watched it the other day.
Alexandra: It's all Gerard
Me: Yeah, you acutally wrote on my channel and I was like OMIGOD!
Gerard: *laughs*, thanks!
Then I also met three As The World Turns People, the guy who plays Dylan Bruce (who's Chris) and JAKE AND VAN! (who are even HOTTER in person)
Me: I love the show
Him: You watch it?
Me: Well, on youtube after school
Him: *Laughs* That's just as good *point to Jake Silbermann* So you know this guy *I nod like a fangirl*
Jake: Hey
Me: Hey, I love the show
Him: Aw thanks so much *I got to Van*
Van: Hey!
Me: Hey, I am such a big fan!
Van: Aw thank you so much
Me: Also, I heard it was your birthday soon so I got you this card.
Him: Oh wow, thank you so much!
I also met on that line...Malan Brenton who's on Project Runway and he loved my necklace so now I KNOW I have style. Jayne Howdeshell who I saw as Madam Morrible, Bebe Neuwirth who I was in awe of and Kaycee Stroh who's Martha is HSM and we had a nice Martha/I'm Martha moment lol.
Then the next line was THE best! First we're on line, Me and Mo and they're like who would pay to see P.Lo and Richard Blake smack down and I was like ME/The guy: how much...3,000?/Me: Yes....96,000! Then they gave me the mike for a second and were like what's your name and who are you excited to see?/Me: Martha and the In The Heights cast, I love them!/The guy: Can you sing every line/Me: I can but I won't. THEN, I met Merle Dandrige, Chris, Mandy, Robin, Richard H Blake, Andrea, Janet, Karen and P.Lo.
I told Mandy she was beautiful, told Chris about the him believed to be running for president and he was like yeah Lin started something. Then for Merle, I told her she was an amazing Joanne. Then I got to Robin and was like you are so cute and he laughed and then I hugged him and it was the warmest hug ever, it was so geunine!!! Then I got to Karen and told her she had the most amazing voice and she was so touched. Then I gave praises to P.Lo, Janet and Andrea.
Then we went to walk around and I hear Hunter Bell's voice and went over the cast was giving away random shirts. Then they hold up a pink v-neck and I was like I WANT IT! So they signed it and Hunter goes "EVERYTHING MUST GO, INCLUDING JEFF!" And I offered to buy Jeff...didn't work out. Then we decided to get lunch instead of going to the next hour b/c we were only going for [tos] then we had just met them for less. Then I took a pic w/Barret Foa cause he was there and as Lin would say "is so damn pretty." Then we walked back and I bought a Legally Blonde sampler cd autographed by LBB!!!! I also took a pic w/some ensemble people there. Then I also got an ITH button. Then we waited for the next autograph table and overheard these [tos] gems.
Susan: Does anyone have a monkey for me to sign?....Where's Laura Benanti, can you hear me/Laura: Hey susan/Susan: I want to sign YOU! Drop your pants and let me sign you.
Guy: Jeff will you take shirtless pictures?/Jeff: No, thanks though *laughs*/Hunter: I will I don't care!!
Guy: Kerry Butler, you are everywhere in this city, on buses, on trash cans/Kerry: Yes, you know you're famous when you're on trash. (I know that wasn't [tos] but it was funny)
Then the next hour we met Stephanie D'Abruzzo and I was like Avenue Q is hilarious. I also met Harriet Harris and told her I saw her in Thourghly Modern Millie at ten and she thought that was cool. Then I saw Rodney Hicks and was like "I saw you in RENT 3 weeks ago" and he reached out to hug me and asked me how I was, it was so sweet. Then I met/hugged/and compliment Telly Leung. I was like I saw you at the stage door but you were like two blocks away and didn't want to chase you and he's like yeah that stage door is intense!
Then we went to leave but here were some other good moments....
Little kid at Xanadu table: EVERYTHING HERE IS SIGNED, EVEN I AM SIGNED, YOU JUST CAN'T SEE IT!
I got two Broadway cares carol cds and they're great, I'm listening now. They have a naughty and nice cd on both. The nice is tradition carols and the naughty is joke carols.
Um....oh wow there is more, I'm just so excited and frazzled I can't remember...I now say Seacacus like Lin/Usnavi in Carnival De Barrio....I have one teeny tiny regret and it's not hugging Van but hopefully he'll be there next year cause I SO will be! I'll put up some pictures tomorrow, oh and Wayne if you read this, I have a picture you will love...it involves Skyler, that's the hint.
