Wow.

That sounds incredibly unusual for labor to basically not progress like you're describing. What a trooper you are!

Just 16 more weeks for me. Hopefully I'll follow my mom's pattern of 4 hours labor, start to finish. (As long as there's enough time for that epidural!)

Congratulations!

Oh, I realized I left out a part which explains the slow progress - the ultrasound. At some point they did one and found that she was facing up, which can sometimes slow labor progress. Also, during the c-section they found the cord wrapped around her foot, which explains the stalled labor and the trouble she had during contractions.

The nice part is, other than being scary, the whole thing wasn't that bad. Definitely not as bad as I had feared it could be.

Yay. I'm very happy things worked out well. I strongly suggest putting all your and Reid's thoughts in writing and sharing then with Miranda when she's older (i.e. 16ish). Growing into a world of adults, it's nice to have a sense of 'where I came from.'

And I am very impressed with your memories of the day. Very cool.

I keep a daily journal. For about the baby. I whine about being not quite as tired as Michelle.

This is the first account I've read that has spelled it out. Most of my friends who have had babies are very vague about the whole thing. Whew! You certainly went through a lot. But worth it, from what I can tell of the pictures and Reid's accounts!

I actually jumped over to comment about piano movers and got caught up with your story! And yes, that is way too much money on piano movers! Garage will do just fine, eh?

Hope you (and everyone) are well! Nice to reconnect with you!
