We're watching 西遊記 on TV, and I'm trying to explain all the characters to the fiance (J).
Mｅ: "Okay, well you know the monkey is 孫悟空, that pig is his friend 豬八戒. The monk is 唐三藏, their martial arts master who's supposed to get the scriptures."
J: "Who's the fourth guy?"
Me: "The guy with the spade? Oh, I don't know." (I call to my parents) "Mom, dad, who is the guy with the spade?"
My parents: "Um... we don't remember... He's not really as famous as the other characters."
J: "Okay, so he's George Harrison."
