Governor Ed Rendell wants to cut Penn State's state appropriations by $60 million because he believes Penn State (and Pitt) have not done a good enough job controlling tuition. Well guess what genius, if you cut our budget by that much students are going to be the ones footing the bill, not to mention a lot of jobs will probably be lost. He argues that Penn State isn't eligible for federal stimulus funds because it is a non-public university - ugh, I hate politicians.
