i haven't used a livejournal account in YEARS!!
here goes nothin',,,
so i've struggled with my weight since birth. i've done the diet thing. i've done the fasting thing. i've done the weight watcher thing. i've done the over the counter weight loss pills thing. i've wished. and prayed. and cried. and until recently, just accepted the fact that i was always going to be a fat ass.
a month ago, while talking with a friend of mine about my ever present weight woes, she pointed me in the direction of "an absolutely amazing doctor" i just HAD to visit. apparently he specialized in weight loss and management. my friend claims to have lost and maintened a weight loss of over 80 pounds. i was impressed.
she gave me his number and told me to call first thing in the morning to get an appointment. she also warned me that he was booked for weeks in advance.
so...the next day i called. sure enough, i wasn't able to get in to see him until june 5th.
that's tomorrow.
i'm nervous. but so excited. i'm not 100% sure what his "program" entails just yet, but i'm definitely at the point where i'll try anything (aside from, ya know, purging. ewwww...).
i'm 24 years old and not getting any younger. i want to enjoy my young adulthood fully!!
so this is where i'll be documenting with pictures and stats and whatever else i feel like unloading in this little part of the internet ;)
