I saw this meme and decided to spend some time on it as well
1. What did you do in 2013 that you'd never done before?
- I've completed my first real internship
- I've graduated for my propedeuse in one year instead of two
- Start writing a novel
- Buying so many books!
- Wrote my first real appliance letter (for internship)
- Follow college for 24 hours straight
- Be on TV xD
- Sip a bit of Guinness
- Taking walks on the Veluwe for at least once a season :3
- Became an aunt <3
- Probably more...
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't make resolutions because making them means keeping them and I'm bad at keeping them and I don't believe such resolutions will really help to improve my life.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Yes, my older sister <3
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Yes, too. A very dear uncle of me died this year of cancer...
5. What countries did you visit?
None, unless you'd count Friesland as an official country, because then I almost live abroad xD
6. What would you like to have in 2014 that you lacked in 2013?
Money xD And an internship at the Dutch Animal Protection (services) would be really neat too. Furthermore, I'll just see what 2014 brings. Overall I'm pretty happy with my life.
7. What date from 2013 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
There are a few:
- May 18: my sister's daughter was born <3
- November 20: attended the official meeting to get my propedeuse
- December 19 & 20: followed 24 hours of college straight and it was crazy much fun
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
I can't choose, but they're all school-related ^w^
- getting my propedeuse
- following 24 hours of college
- finishing my internship
9. What was your biggest failure?
My biggest failure was my believe in working with dogs the way I wanted it in the first half year. I got utterly displeased of myself when I found out that way just doesn't fit me.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Only minor colds, except for one nasty could during late winter (March)
11. What was the best thing you bought?
I was extremely happy with the game Animal Crossing New Leaf. Have been waiting 3 years for this one.
12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
Everyone who supports me and gives me advice! <3 But in special I want to thank my intership supervisors (yes I got two of 'em) for teaching me such a valuable lesson about myself and giving me the chance to discover a new part of me. It really is thanks to them I successfully finished my internship.
13. Whose behaviour appalled and depressed you?
Just some teachers who doesn't want to say things twice because you don't get it ("Well that's your problem. I can't help it you're stupid enough to not get it") and who humiliated me in front of like 200 other students ("How many times do I have to say you only hand in the question and answer sheets?! And don't look like that at me, you know I'm right and you're wrong.") after already having met him as one annoying teacher ("You've wasted my time."). I can't believe there are teachers like that! They shouldn't be teaching ><
14. Where did most of your money go?
Warriors books and other books.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Animal Crossing New Leaf, my propedeuse, Glazen Huis in Leeuwarden, Warriors :3
16. What songs will always remind you of 2013?
I guess the songs from Roy Kim. They are so relaxing! I'm glad I found out about him this year <3
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. Happier or sadder?
Dunno, I don't think in being happier or sadder. I just live day by day
ii. Thinner or fatter?
Hopefully the same, though my internship did make me lose some kgs...
iii. Richer or poorer?
Depends on how you look at it. In terms of money: poorer. In terms of experiences and things I own: richer
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Drawing and writing, definitely! And Korean and Japanese language practice...
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Losing track of time in situation where you can't lose it. And ending up having to buy food and drinks because I was too hasty in the early morning and forgot to prepare it at home.
20. How will you spend Christmas?
I have spent Christmas the usual way. The Top2000 can be heard in almost every room of the house and family comes over to eat dinner altogether. In between, just doing daily stuff.
22. Did you fall in love in 2013?
Nope.
23. How many one-night stands?
None.
24. What was your favorite TV program?
Augh. I like NCIS, CSI, Endeavour, Benidorm Bastards and lots more. They're all cool programs!
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Not anyone I knew before this year.
26. What was the best book you read?
Again, can't choose! Instead I'll tell the best series I've read (and it's still ongoing!): Warriors
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Roy Kim, Rodrigo y Gabriela, (re-discovery) CNBLUE
28. What did you want and get?
Back to the old list: new games (Animal Crossing New Leaf & Pokemon X), new books (Warriors), food & drinks & warmth & shelter, propedeuse, ...

None of this year. I'm not that much into movies.

Oh oh oh! Bread with mayonnaise. A crazy addiction thanks to my dad :3

I did daily stuff on this 22nd birthday
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Dunno. Can't complain that much about this year.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2013?
This year's fashion is the same as all the other years: clothes that fit loosely and makes me feel free.

Not really fancy or anything, but I sure do like the authors that form Erin Hunter together.
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
The usual ones about cutting in things everywhere in order "to grow". The bush-theory of our president is failing miserably and he knows but he still continues to work with it ><

I especially miss a special friend who's having a great time on the other side of the world <3

I guess that someone who's into Warriors as much as I am :3
