The NOW generation?
Time was we would have space between communication, space and separation. There would be long gaps between the next letter, phone call or meeting.
Now we are constantly in touch through email, IM, sms, MMPRPG etc.. And get frustrated when there is no immediate response, even the news must be "latest and breaking", and we download the latest episodes of our faves.
I wonder if as a society we are becoming more insecure as a result of needing to know the current situation, we stop living in the past or future.
