ahh, ::sealclaps:: i've not seen so many of these OMG!!! (i admit i tend to search out the nathan/peter vids first ahem ahem.) randomly the climbing up the walls vid is amaaazing.

okay so, my faves:

untouched - peter/nathan, i love this because it's a song sung by girls and they lowered the pitch so it's sung by a boy? how awesome is that?
eden - peter/nathan, this vid got taken off youtube, but someone uploaded it here? it's a look at them during volume three. i love the filtering in it, and the overwhelming sadness of the breakdown between the two that season.
made world - peter/nathan, i have issues with some of the manips, but some of them work really well
you're not supposed to know - peter/nathan, i think it's that i really quite enjoy this song, mostly
what goes around - mohinder/sylar, with a side of m3. sylar's really upset mohinder left him for the m3. really great editing in this one.
adventures in reading against the text - a heroes world where the women aren't relegated to the side
the freshman - ensemble/sylar, cutesy concept, but i think that's why it works

pretty sure A. has her own list, but these are mine so far.

Ahem.

OMG, Adventures In Reading Against The Text is brilliant. I remember seeing the post recently but for some reason I did never check the video. What a shame.

Same with The Freshman. I really, really enjoyed that.

Sadly Eden has been taken down again and What goes around is blocked for me. Can you tell me which song is set to Eden and who interprets it?

I remember seeing the other ones, I think.

Manips are an interesting topic of discussion. I have to admit that manips and inserts don't work for me more often than they do work because most of the time you can tell that it's not the characters and manips often look unnatural. That's why I'm usually iffy on the subject too and prefer clever cropping or slowmo with actual canon material. But if they are well done, they can be the icing of the cake. For example, there was one manip in the Peter/Sylar vid you linked yesterday, that was absolutely fantastic. And hot. Jesus.

Looking forward to see A's recs! :D

okay the original link to what goes around is here! i think you can download it.

as for eden, here!, the link to it. it's sarah brightman's eden, and i...can't remember by whom exactly? no wait. by her!. \o/

yeah me too, especially with the petrellis, where you don't even have to stretch that much to get them to be like, all up in each other's space. sometimes they work though, especially if it's just fast cuts of vids.

which scene was it, the sylar/peter one? i kept wondering where she got that shot of peter in the golden light reaching for sylar? because i totally don't remember that in the show.

Thank for the links, will check them later!

I agree that inserts/manips work best, if it's fast cuts of body parts or closely cropped. Although I think, you could do a lot with the canon material of the Petrellis just with cropping, pacing and editing...

That's exactly the scene I meant. It looked fantastic. I think there is a deleted sex scene with Peter and Simone on the S1 DVDs which is supposed to be pretty raunchy. I haven't seen it myself yet, I need to check my DVDs and hope that the German editions has it. I think that shot might be from that scene.
