Starting the countdown for season 2 of Heroes with pictures. Check out her Peter pic spams here and here. I did a recap of my favorite scenes of the Petrelli brothers. As usual with my pic spams - it got totally out of hand.
Warnings: This post is very picture heavy and very Italian (Spoilers for S1).
Meet Nathan Petrelli:
He is running for congress.

This is Peter Petrelli:
He is a hospice nurse.
They are brothers.
And Italian.
Peter just told his brother he thinks he can fly. And promptly jumps off a building to prove it.
Turns out Nathan is the one who can fly and thus has to rescue his baby brother.
But he doesn't tell Peter who is still a bit messed up from the fall...
... and who settles for gazing adoringly at his brother.
Later he sulks on some rooftop because his mother told him that crazy runs in the family.
Even Nathan can't get over the Peter angst.
But then Peter manages to fly on his own...
... which leads to Petrelli hugs.
One of my favorite scenes is the Petrelli brunch of awkwardness.
Manipulative Peter!
Peter shows up unexpectedly...
...and Nathan has one of his Peter-will-ruin-my-career moments.
But Peter doesn't back down.
Especially if he wants something from Nathan.
He is a Petrelli after all.
Nathan knows he is toast.
The flashback episode "Six Months Ago" is also one of my favorites:
Peter's graduation party
Alternatively with the other hand.
This time Nathan is angsting for a change.
But Peter makes everything better.
Thanks to their "connection" Peter later dreams of Nathan's accident and instantly rushes to the hospital to see his brother.
A very Italian moment.
And another one.
Back in the present Peter managed to get himself into prison and waits for Nathan.
I love all the promos from this episode:
In the actual scene Peter is dreaming (again)...
...of Nathan bailing him out of prison...
... and getting a hug.
But even dream!Nathan thinks Peter's hero complex is annoying.
He is very Italian about it, though.
The actual rescue is not as cuddly:
"You look like hell"
Peter promptly faints and has apocalyptic visions.
The shock of realizing that he is the bomb is enough to send Peter into a coma.
Nathan won't even leave him in his apocalyptic dreams.
The real Nathan is not leaving his bedside either.
But even kissing Sleeping Beauty doesn't bring him back.
Later Peter tries to leave town but not before showing Mohinder that he is clearly not Italian enough.
After getting beat up by Claude and managing to be involved in Simone's death Peter comes back to Nathan to cry.
I love this cap for some reason.
Peter's second encounter with Sylar is fatal.
Mohinder got better at being Italian. (That's my favorite Peter/Mohinder picture)
He then returns Peter's corpse to the Petrelli mansion.
And we see Nathan breaking down.
He doesn't even care about his election anymore.
I guess it's bad taste to make Italian jokes about a corpse?
Thank God for Claire.
"I don't know who I am without you."
Resurrected!Peter has a different attitude, though.
Now he is the one bossing his brother around.
Nathan doesn't really know what hit him.
There is a short moment of drama and heartbreak
But Claire's speech and gazing at their Nathan's wedding photo give Nathan the last push to finally escape Mama Petrelli's clutches.
Thus the world is saved by brotherly love.
They even spell it out.
The last Petrelli hug of the season.
Season 2, here we come.
