Fangirling!
It's now time for the monthly update! :)
Seriously, though, I've been meaning to post in here before now, but I've been kind of drowning myself in my own misery and throwing myself into a new fandom (yes, the two things are linked. I seem to find a new fandom about the time I get depressed. Strange, but true). The misery? Nothing really serious. I'm just incredibly happy that scottmatthew made it to Arizona in one piece, and he's settling in so well (*huggle*). But in addition to that, two other local friends are going to Japan for two years.
So I'm just feeling a bit lonely, but haven't been able to wallow in it properly yet. Once I do, it'll be out of my system and I'll be as chipper as always.
My new fandom? It's in my icon! I saw "Howl's Moving Castle" for the first time on June 17th and fell instantly head-over-heels in love. So much so, I had to go to the library the very next day to check out the original novel and its sequel! I'm currently on having seen the movie three times, and read the original novel twice. Working up for a second read-through of the sequel "Castle in the Air".
Yes, I'm still drabbling in the IY fandom. My new ideas are shaping up nicely! "Gather Roses" is in the middle of Chapter 4 because nakey Howl wanted some of my pen-and-paper time. Yes, you read that right.
So now I have a favorite anime series, and a favorite anime movie. I can't WAIT to get my hands on the DVD. 2006 is such a long way away...
It also seems I missed a bit of fan-drama from the Inu Yasha side. Wow.. you miss so much in just a couple of weeks! I just wish I could find out more about it (all I got was Niamh-sama's notice, which just had me going 'ummm.. what have I missed?').
