Happy Holidays, everyone!
Yes, I know that Yule and Chanukah are already past. Maybe I should change that to "Happy belated holidays"? ^_^;;
But it is Christmas today! As usual in my incredibly German (or, as my Grandmother would put it, "Bavarian! Bavarian, silly child!") family, we had our presents on Christmas eve. Now I wasn't able to make the huge family gathering in Michigan this year. Still, I had fun with my Mom and brother who were also stranded here in New York thanks to that awful Northern Midwest snowstorm on the 23rd. (Dad doesn't care much about holidays so he just sits and rolls his eyes at us for making so much noise. ;p)
My Mom digs up some of the best stuff from her treasure trove for Christmas! I ended up with a Goliath "Hard Wired" Gargoyles action figure, a Strawberry Shortcake doll from the series that was released in the early 1990's, and two Strawberry Shortcake coloring posters from waaay back in the '80's. o_O;;;. She also got me two Pokemon Candy dispensers (they're so cute! And they have Japanese candy inside! *squee*), a "Hunchback of Notre Dame" sticker book with all 66 stickers, a pair of purple footies with tracky-things on the bottom (I searched everywhere this year for a pair and couldn't find any! *pout*) with two bags of glow-in-the-dark cherubs in the bottom, and last but not least.. an absolutely gorgeous counted cross-stitch kit. It's a green, blue, and purple dragon, but that's not the best part! It comes with *four spools* of glittery filament! Which means the whole thing will lend up SPARKLY! And it's on black cloth, so I know it's going to be gorgeous!
Yes, I'm very easily amused. So what? ;p I'm still a kid! Really!
Now to try and coax Kagome's friends Eri and Yuka to talk to me so I can work on the scene I want to. I tried yesterday and ended up with parts of a slightly ecchi epilogue and Inu in glasses! -_-;;; Not that I'm complaining, but I'm still trying to adjust to this non-linear thing I've started doing recently.
