First off, happy birthday to Samutan! Still the 23rd here as of this writing, so YEAH!! And for his birthday, I've decided to talk about games. It's only fitting. BUT FIRST!
I haven't had much to write about lately but I'll try to think of some things! I have been kind of active in terms of the art community on pixiv-- part of a few projects that I hope will go well. One of them is here:
I started working on things for the artist alley table we're gonna have at Fanime. I'm planning on finishing my website, making one for my circle, and hopefully have a business card all not counting the stuff we're planning to sell at the table. Even with that, we want to get some props done and make the table look all festive for our Touhou-ness. Haha.
I'll be attending Anime Los Angeles and probably cosplaying
Koumajou Densetsu Alice.
In other news, I do have Left 4 Dead 2, so if you have been playing it, perhaps we might have a chance to play together! My steam account is here:
https://steamcommunity.com/id/miluda My Japanese is readily improving as I use it on Twitter to interact with the pixiv artists-- I'm wondering how I can improve it further without feeling like it's "studying"--if you know what I mean. Makes me wish there was some sort of game that could help me without me realizing it's teaching me. Then again, my recent start of a Japanese game sort of helped me recognize quite a few kanji. Is this just how it's going?
Speaking of games, I have been playing Jeanne d'Arc for the PSP. It's a little frustrating since it's so different from FFT, but I'm starting to get it. I don't really like that I have to beat things within a certain number of rounds (like 13 rounds or something) because I loved fooling around in FFT and doing all sorts of stupid things like hitting my own characters for exp. Can't do that in this game, but I am still enjoying myself!
Another game I have played to nearly the end is Suikoden Tierkreis. The reason why I'm not beating it just yet is kind of a stupid one-- see, the game as a wifi option where you can send your characters into the ABYSS to have people around the world play and level your character for you. One of my characters got picked up by a person (it even says their name) and ... they won't return my character!? WHY!? WHY WON'T THEY! I mean I can forcibly return my character but I'm not in such a rush to beat the game so I've left the character in the ABYSS for now. Maybe when I finally want to move on I'll take them back, but for now I wonder why that person decided to download my character to their DS and then didn't play again.
SPEAKING of more games, I also now have Dragon Age: Origins. I picked the human noble origin story and am going through it for my first time. I think I still have many more hours to the game, but I think I won't talk about it much because of spoilers. It's a VERY enjoyable game with wonderful dialogue but unfortunately it has so many simple bugs that made it into the final.
ANOTHER GAME, I have sort of restarted Mabinogi. I remember when it was first back in beta and I was like BOO, I hate having to age, and feed my character foods for stats, etc etc but I love playing the Touhou music! Well, I still think those things. I started playing again because I had a few friends that wanted to spend some time on there, so I'm thinking of going through G1 eventually since at the time when I had first played it didn't exist yet. By no doubt I will SLOWLY be going through it as you can see, I always pick up a ton of games at once and never really stick to one at a time. Sort of like when I was younger I'd play Diablo and Starcraft and this game and that game... etc.
I do eventually finish them, so it's good, right? I mean I finished DDO up until end game! And of course RO! And... [list here.]
I remember going through Wild ARMs 3 when it came out-- the only reason why I finished that one so quickly was because we were on winter vacation at Lake Tahoe and my family wanted to wake up early to go snow sliding and such and I wasn't so into that. I instead spent most of my time inside the cabin playing this game, and boy was it worth it!
Lots of other games I am currently playing, but I think I'll stop here.
IN OTHER NEWS, someone got a hold of my credit card information and decided to try buying membership to two online dating sites and 500 bucks worth of stuff from the Home Shopping Network. Really? Getting a new card so everything is a-okay since I won't be charged a thing. Hooray!
I will probably not update again, so HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!!
