First, a belated birthday to
hachifusayuber! I hope you enjoyed your special day~
The next thing is I just saw the movie Iron Man, and it was pretty awesome.
Now, for some artwork, since I hardly ever update this thing with text anymore. I uploaded it to Photobucket because my server is mysteriously deciding to be slower than usual...
Some pencil sketches I finally decided to get un-lazy to scan:
Marisa from Touhou Project. I actually have papers and papers full of just facial expressions. Someday, I will definitely draw a comic...
Alice and Marisa from Touhou Project. I actually drew this pretty early on, and I wasn't too familiar with their designs just yet.
Alice (and a sketchy Marisa to the left) from Touhou Project.
Alice, Reimu, and Marisa from Touhou Project. I actually changed Reimu's face later and got too lazy to re-scan it, so here's the original.
I have more pencil sketches but I don't think I want to share them. They are a little for my own enjoyment, haha...
And now, for some digital doodles:
Reimu from Touhou Project. I drew it on an oekaki board.
An oekaki comic in the style of Daioki, a doujin artist that draws very punny comics about Cirno from Touhou Project. He enjoys putting her with Marisa and some hilarious things ensue. This Cirno is called Atai Cirno. I guess to understand this comic you need to 1) know of Daioki's work and his usual humor, 2) Know who Daniel Kim is, an artist with his site "Clone Manga," 3) The character Danjuro (Dan-kun) from Bamboo Blade, 4) Understand Cirno and Marisa's characters from Touhou Project. Whew. So many things to know. I tried to make "Dan Kim" and "Dan Kun" look like the same word in the picture.
Marisa, Alice, and Cirno from Touhou Project. I colored Marisa with enthusiasm, but unfortunately got a little lazy and disliked the Alice, so I stopped. The style of Cirno (Atai Cirno) is drawn like Daioki, after having attempted to practice I finally produced something that looks pretty close to his style during a random doodle:
Atai Cirno.
Doodles in MSN with Kaede, I thought it was cute so I posted it.
Alice and Shanghai from Touhou Project, Agrias from Final Fantasy Tactics, Chris Lightfellow from Suikoden III. I decided this time to color everyone, but I thought I would get tired of coloring them if I spent too long, so I did a quicker way of coloring... unfortunately it didn't end up to the liking of how I felt with Marisa, but it definitely took enough hours of my time. Still, it's nice to see it colored.
Meiling, from Touhou Project. People often forget her name and read it the Japanese way, so it was easier to just call her "China." I spent a long time on this, much longer than the previous doodles. Seeing this image, I feel like I should one day stop getting so lazy and spend more actual hours into a single image to produce something with higher quality.
I actually did not produce the original which I based this off of, but it's a cute image I often see as an image macro and drew it as well. Website China!
Boy, that was a lot, wasn't it? It's probably a good thing, since I hardly draw enough. I hope you enjoyed, and everyone has a good day today and the next!
