Highly considering changing my username now. Remember when I previously wanted to? Well, I'm really getting tired of "michiru_mama"... always wanted "michiru" but that account has not changed in so many years... but it is a 15 dollars that I could spend on something else, so maybe I won't. 15 dollars means a lot! Ah, I know, I know... I've been considering for such a long time now. I don't want it to be something like, oh, a username change... oh then get another. I really want to stick to something that I want to be satisified with. atkascha is taken, and so is sakura, but I'm heavily considering one that looks like it was deleted and purged...
I was updating Windows Live Messenger about three weeks ago to the newest one when my computer crashed during the installation. That means lots of bad things, as Messenger is a program that is laced into Windows' operating system. Pretty much my personal profile for Windows was killed-- it would often complain that it could not get my profile and that it would load a temporary one until my old one could be accessed. The thing is, when I loaded it in safe mode, it would see my profile! So I had faith that my profile could be restored! Tried a lot of things, and nothing really worked, but finally I just said "screw it!" and did a system restore. Should have done that from the start!
But a good thing is that some kind person is giving me their old video card! My current VGA card is a GeForce 5500 128. They are sending me their GeForce FX 5700 256. Oh boy! Isn't that exciting? A 120+ dollar card! Thank you kiiind soul!
I've been playing a lot of Neverwinter Nights lately. It reminded me a lot of Diablo, except it's so much better. Remembering how Brad and his friends still played table-top RPGs, it kind of made me wish that I had played D&D before playing NWN, but either way, I know it would have been nearly impossible to have just me and only me play D&D alone, you know? In any case, I'm happy that NWN has made D&D easier to understand and has a great storyline... having loads of fun with it.
I somehow came across a link with m-flo's latest album, COSMICOLOR. It is the last of the m-flo love series, or so I heard. It's definitely not as good as their last two... but there are a few songs on there that I really enjoy. Like that song featuring Alex. He has a really nice voice!
Never before have I wanted to head to Japan so badly, but now I've got tons of reasons! I might as well make it true. Other countries I'd like to visit are Brazil, Philippines, and Taiwan (again). Any of you ever travelled to Japan? What's the usual ticket cost? I'm seeing 1000 for round trip and hoping there's something lower, but if there isn't, oh well. Any advice for me? I'd sure appreciate it... and speaking of traveling to Japan, that means I need to fund it, right?
I've signed up for the annual UCSC print sale! I've never done it before, but I'm hoping I could gain a little extra cash to spend if I am able to get myself to Japan. I might do a process called lithography with my finished intaglio prints... scan them in, use photo litho to reproduce them, print tons of them, and sell them! Well, that's if everything goes well.
Someone moved in next door to me, and their music is really loud. I've already asked for them to turn the bass (at least) down, but I can still hear it. Why do people listen to music that loud anyway...? I could barely hear myself when I was speaking to them.
