I usually don't do these things, but I had to this time. First Impressions Meme. None of you are required reply.
My painting is chugging along very slowly.
I actually fell asleep in painting class today. PAINTING CLASS. Who falls asleep in painting class? I just didn't get enough sleep last night... oh come on, you write an essay on Herman Melville's Benito Cereno. Okay? I just felt bad that the painting instructor was doing her materials instruction and I just kept nodding off. I apologized to her later, and she told me she understood-- I expressed I haven't been exactly in the best of moods lately, but I'm trying to keep my head up.
Anyway, I've got more reading to do-- however the next slave-related book we're reading sounds more interesting than the two before. The first book was because I've already read it. The second one being too frivolous with words and needed to be more concise (my perfect comparison to it was like a pair of panties with tuxedo frills...) And this last one is... written in a different style. I'll see how it is as soon as I finish!
Take home midterm for 3D foundation. This 3D foundation lecture is way more interesting than last year's. Do you remember me trying to get into 3D foundation, went for four weeks, and then was told to leave because they couldn't fit any more students? Yeah. I was all left alone because everyone else I knew could crash the class and I couldn't get in. Then I had to crash oil painting-- but I lost 4 weeks of the quarter. That's already to midterms. Geez.
But yes! The 3D foundation lecture this year is a lot more interesting. It's a different instructor with different TA's... and she actually shows us pieces of art that we could relate to, or pieces that are just generally interesting. And shows us interesting videos relating of those things. I'm enjoying it so far-- just not the academic readings.
Yesterday was a big day since I did all sorts of things! I did the bedsheets-- which took a whole day pretty much. Laundry was bad-- there were like... a group of 4-5 people who just decided to do their laundry TOGETHER and hog up all the machines. Bah. But it's okay! I got mine done, it's all fine and dandy...
My body's been feeling really odd-- sometimes I feel weak, sometimes I'm okay, sometimes I feel ouchie, sometimes... I don't know! It's probably because of the stress I've been having lately.
Oh, and it's that time of the month, too, but I really don't feel all that different besides feeling like I'm wearing a diaper. Huhuhuhu!
