I bought the Suikoden III trading figures, but they are sold out at the moment. So when they get their shipment, they said they'll ship it and charge me then. Whee.
I saw Saving Face. For an independent film, it was very well directed! It didn't even feel like it was an independent film... it felt like one of those big budget movies. It was just done so well!
I understood so much of the movie's cultural references... so I found certain parts to be so funny, some others I nodded in agreement...
I just really enjoyed it a whole lot. I don't really know how to say it.
And Wil was really cute! :D Her character is adorable.
So yesterday I played a lot of SCII in the arcade. I got up my character MILUDA (Cassandra) up to Platinum Soldier of the Furies. And oops, I just killed yellow's team! Horray! I originally had a character named SAKURA (Talim) but I didn't want to use Talim anymore. There used to be another machine, and my character there was SAKURA (Cassandra) but now she's forever dead... I hope they never take this machine away!
While I was playing yesterday, I got quite a few challengers. They won a few, but I won most of the battles... I really wish Seung Mina was in the Arcade version. Or Sophitia, even. Sigh. After playing Cassandra against people for a while, I started choosing other characters, then I choose Charade two or three times.
There was this one guy who fought me... before the battle started, I asked him, "Are you good at this?" And he said, "I used to be." And after we fought (I won), he sounded really happy and he called one of his friends to come over and play. He said he couldn't believe there were still SCII players around. "I'm waiting for Soul Calibur III; I hope Seung Mina and Sophitia make it!" I told him. He was someone who played the arcade versions of the games, and he was sad that SCIII wasn't coming out for the arcade. I'm kind of sad of that as well, but I don't mind; it's coming out for PS2!
The last time I went to play this game, I also got lots of challengers... another guy there said he used to be pretty good, and I could tell that he probably used to be. I told him that I would be happier with the SCII machine if it had Seung Mina. Thinking about it, I think I've played this guy before, somewhere. And I was using Seung Mina. Victory for me that time. We even played the GC version! PS2 is my home system. The GC controller is really weird for me. :(
The conquest system is really interesting for SCII. I used certain moves a lot, so I each time I fought my CPU self, I can see that she did the same thing back to me. Sooner or later, it started getting difficult fighting myself, and I kept falling for my own tricks. :P
I want to get even better at SCII! I really miss playing against Ron. I think I'm starting to get rusty!
And I hope the rest of the week is great, and I hope the rest of the month is great, and I hope the rest of the year is wonderful.
