I had the following interaction with my sister 5 mintues ago:
Amelie: Is there anything for me to eat for dinner?
Maxine: Umm spaghetti maybe... why? are you going out?
Amelie: Ya i'm going babysitting
Maxine: Today isn't Friday
Amelie: ....
Maxine: ....
Amelie: .... oh
I think this clearly demonstrates how sleep deprived i've been over that past couple of months. But lucky me, school is out.
High school is out forever!
I don't know how to feel... its so weird to be able to walk down the hall, say "have a nice life" and actually mean it. When it acutally hit me that as soon as i finished the last question of my leadership exam and and drew that final period I was done, I got all nervous and couldn't concentrate at all. Maybe i'm just being naive but that is a momentus occasion if i've ever known one.
Carter has been too good to me... how I can begin to thank everyone is still a mystery to me. I promise to make a solid attempt sometime before now and graduation.
Now the question is, what will i do with this long sought after freedom? Well, since I still don't have a job, i've set myself a couple of goals in order to keep some sort of dignity through the summer:
a) Ride my bike every day all summer- This goal was spurred out of the fact that I haven't touched my bike in 2 years. I won't start talking about how out of shape I am because there are dancers and military personelle reading.
b) Volunteer at a summer camp- If I can't get a job, I might as well make myself useful to humanity. I volunteered at this same camp 2 summers ago and it was a lot of fun so I don't expect anything less this time around.
c) Make spontanious outings with friends- I think this one is pretty self explanitory but also, i'd like to actually see people that aren't in my immediate-hang-out-with-you-on-a-regular-basis circle of friends.
d) Make it down to MPM at least twice this summer- I've promised to visit (and return Angela's music) so i'm totally there (especially for concerts).
Hopefully i'll get around to doing a follow up on this entry later in the summer and report on how i've done with my goals.
In other news, I spent money that I don't have at the GAP ('cause they have an amazing sale going on) and H&M (in the hopes that i'd find a shirt for grad). Unfortunately the shirt for grad isn't particularly appropriate but i'm going to keep it anyways.
I also went to see Batman Begins with Jess, Justine and Charmaine. It was freaking amazing. I'm not by any means a fan of comic book made movie movies but I thoroughly enjoyed this one. Batman is sexy and incredibly cool. It almost makes me wish that I was a billion gazillionaire who flys around in a cape and body suit fighting crime in a corrupt and crime ridden city...but just almost.
Tomorrow is Alex's 18th birthday and in celebration (well at least partially) we're going for lunch and a movie. I'm extremely excited and it should be a great kick off to the summer.
