So, have you ever thought the only thing that kept you from discovering a dead body was not looking very hard? Like when you are walking down a road by yourself and you look over into the ditch and there a pile of garbage bags or a blanket folded over, and its just about people shaped. That’s scary huh doesn’t your mind just start to race? “Oh my god! Is that a dead guy? What should I do? Should I look? Fuck, finding a dead body is gonna take up my whole day, Do I have time to find a dead body? I have things to do! Better not look. And then you continue on down the road, but you feel like a total asshole huh? What if it was somebody important? Or a kidnapping victim? Their family must be so worried. There could have been reward money! Should I go back and check? But then reality kicks back in, no in all likelihood it is just a unlucky homeless guy who’s corpse you will have to spend a very unsavory several hours beside while you wait for an ambulance crew to come. And that’s the problem isn’t it? Finding a dead body is a fuckin hassle, you have to be prepared to wait with it, answer questions about it, and then you can’t leave town until they figure out who the guy is, and if it was a murder you will probably become a suspect, not to mention the emotional scarring! There are probably forms you have to fill out explaining that you have nothing to do with this random corpse, it is ridiculous that things are not true until you have put them down on paper and had them signed by someone more important than you.
