That's good. In the Yahoo article, I saw someone interviewed who had the name of one of your sons, so I was worried.
Iowa City, on the other hand, got blown all to hell. It's a large college town, with the States Medical School, and the site of the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, which is where I have to go to get seen by specialists because the stupid IOWA CARE program refuses to deal with local contractors. I guess they had major damage, especially to the downtown, which was an absolutely lovely place, with some of the best bookstores I know of. Thankfully, for all the damage, not that many people died (knock on wood).
Eek. That is the number one reason I hope I never, ever have to live in the Midwest. Though we're beginning to get more nasty storms in California (I think we've had more severe thunderstorm and tornado warnings in the state this year than in the last five years or something) at least the ones we get here seem to be weak on average, capable of causing damage to trees, windows, roofs, cars, and mobilehomes (eek) but that's about it. I'm very happy you're OK though. :D
