So... I'm delirious and half asleep. I'm not sure how coherent this will be. So... I'm not going to go over my troubles getting someone to go lol, I've gone over that before. So I get to the stadium at about 6 pm and apparently I accidentally printed out two of the same ticket. So we have to go to the ticket booth to get the other one. And HOLY SHIT DRAKE IS STANDING IN THE LINE NEXT TO ME. NO ONE RECOGNIZES HIM. I TELL MY FRIEND THAT IT'S ADAM'S BOYFRIEND AND WE'RE BOTH LIKE "HOLY FUCK IS THIS REAL LIFE?!"
Oh, and we never saw any protesters. Yay!
We go into the stadium and it's pretty crowded. We buy glow sticks because we're just that cool. Our seats are on floor, but they're sort of far. Still, much better than most people.
MICHAEL: I was surprised at how much I liked him. Ngl, I was worried that Closer wouldn't work, but... well, maybe I just enjoyed it because I love the song. Anyways, he had lots of energy.
MEGAN: Ok, I love Megan, but vocally I think she is the worst. Still, I like her voice. It's interesting. She's gorgeous, but she looked very Barbie-ish with the straight hair. So... sort of mixed about her.
SCOTT: Ok. Converted Scott fan here. Seriously, on Bend and Break his voice was fantastic. He is so much better in concert than on the show. Plus I love Keane and A Thousand Miles, so that helped. As y'all know, his comments were pretty lulzy also.
LIL: To quote my friend, "she sounds exactly like Mary J. Blige." "She sounds exactly like Beyonce." Basically, she's great at copying other female R&B stars but needs her own identity. She has a great voice, though, can't deny it.
ANOOP: I LOVE ANOOP SFM. JS. Seriously, his voice was beautiful. And My Prerogative was really fun. I have less to say for my favorites, haha.
MATT: I enjoyed him live a lot more than I did on the show. Converted Matt fan here also. That first song (can't remember the name) was absolutely fantastic. He looked like he had walked out of the 1920s.
GROUP NUMBER: Lil and Megan sounded sort of painful together. The rest was pretty cool.
ALLISON: a;sgdhig;ahjidg; <333 I LOVE HER. Seriously, she rocked out and it was fantastic. Sound acoustics were bad though. "Cry Baby" was amazing, "So What" was very sassy, and "Barracuda" was just GUH.
APOLOGIZING IN ADVANCE FOR MY DANNY TRASHING
DANNY: probably my least favorite set, ngl. "PYT" got everyone moving, but I thought it was hokey. "Maria Maria" and "What Hurts the Most" were good. The crowd just ate up the sermon, but it wasn't that long fortunately. I thought that "My Wish" was unnecessary - felt like I was at a Christian rock concert.
ADAM: asgdertghfegdthfrsgdhjfsefgdh
HIP GYRATING
MIC STAND HUMPING
He sounded really girly on "Starlight," it was weird but he sounded beautiful.
Oh, and he has so much stage presence it's not even funny. You know you're in the presence of a star.
KRIS: yes, he's quieter than Adam. Unfortunately only like 1/3 of the crowd was standing for him (yes, including me), but I suppose you can't blame them after Adam's craziness. But everyone was standing even for "Mad World." So that was disappointing. But honestly, Kris has tons of stage presence. He was fantastic. Not bland at all. Doesn't deserve any trashing that he's gotten. I may be an Adam stan, but ngl Kris deserved the win just as much.
ENDING GROUP NUMBER: LOTS OF KRADAM AAAAAAAAAAAH
I'LL LEAVE IT TO PULASKI TO EXPLAIN IDK IDK
FUCKING FANTASTIC
ALSO I COULDN'T SEE THE KRADAM MOMENT THAT WELL, FML FML STUPID 6 FOOT TALL MAN IN FRONT OF ME
SO ALL IN ALL... AMAZING. IDK IDK. I'M BAD AT RECAPS, I CAN'T PUT INTO WORDS HOW FANTASTIC THIS WAS. I AT LEAST LIKED EVERYONE, IF NOT LOVED.
I'll post all my pictures later, I'm super tired rn.
ETA: WHY THE FUCK DID I NOT MENTION PANTS THROWING AT KRIS LMFAO
