Long time no postie....
Think that title says it all really! Blarg. It's been a hectic week.
I finally started my Xmas shopping (yesterday, the 21st Dec!). Christmas is definitly being done on the cheap this year, as I have pretty much nada in my account. Ah well, life's a bitch, lol. It also hasn't helped that no-ones's given me any ideas for presents this year. Grr.
Anyway. Saturday night, we played the Cherry Tree in P'boro. Bit of a weird one - almost anything that could have happened, did happen. I broke a string (necessitating Ian and Josh driving manically across town to fetch a spare bass! thanks guys!), Shaun's new effects unit had some mains issues, there was a fight between the punters, and a major row between various band-related factions (don't even ask me to go into it, it's waaaaaaaaay too complicated). However, despite all that, we played an absolute blinder - as tight as the now legendary nun's chuff. Truly, we did rock the joint. Which brings me nicely onto the next topic - our website! It's now online in all it's glory, with photos to look/laugh at, things to read, and a forum to write things about us. Feel free to write whatever you want, be it good or bad, but remember we have the power to edit you!
It's great actually, it's only been up for a week, and we've already got more users than my old band did in a year! lol!
Last Sunday, we got all our songs copyrighted (ie, recorded some quick versions and posted them too ourselves) at Hayleys' 'rents' place (although we had to drag Hayley away from the Muppets Wizard of Oz to do this!). Then I headed back home for the pub quiz. Heh. It got a bit messy, especially as Trick stayed over, so we continued the drinking and had a bit of a smoke as well. We didn't actually win anything in the quiz (boo!), but a good time was had by all. Was great to see ppl again - Amy, Mark, Nick, Trick, Em, Gem, Alex (think that's everyone!). Speaking of which, Alex is Gem's new b/f - not the Alex we all know (who I'm going to have a drink with tonight, as it's his 22nd tomorrow. 22! Eep...), but a new one. He's a really nice bloke actually - was buying us drinks, and his sense of humour fits right in with us lot - well done Gemima!

Yes, it's true. There is no Respond gig on New Year's Eve, so I shall be at Fi's getting horribly drunk from the earliest available hour on that day. I am looking forward to it soooooooooooo much, you really have no idea!
