"Hey. How's it going?"

Faith grins at her.

"Hey. Pretty good, thanks. You?"

"Good," she says, automatically. "I mean, Indy's leavin', but that happens, so." And she shrugs.

"Yeah, he told me."

Faith makes a face. "Lot of that going around."

[slayer_fray]

"Seems like it," she says. "Just when we're gettin' this influx as well. Reckon Bar's doin' a clear out?"

She's not so good with the tact right now. Things must be getting to her.

Faith winces.

"Hope not."

[slayer_fray]

"So what's goin' on with you?" Mel says, almost picking up a fry then deciding not to.

Faith shrugs.

"War and romance. The usual."

[slayer_fray]

"They both go well?"

[faithful_slayer]

"Romance is great, so far. The war...hasn't happened yet. We'll see."

[slayer_fray]

"Wish I could help," Mel says honestly. "Take care, OK?"

"I will. Max is gonna be there, he'd freak out if anything happened."

[slayer_fray]

"Sure he would," Mel says.

She avoids mentioning that looking out for your loved one is perhaps not the best idea in the middle of a war, because Faith's been Slaying longer than her, and knows that.

"Plus, you know, I don't want to be maimed."

[slayer_fray]

"Good point. Maiming? Generally not the best idea."

[faithful_slayer]

"Also, I'm too pretty to be maimed."
