His lady is gone. However, even for Dream there is only so long one can sulk. So he appears, in the bar.

And for about 0.004 seconds he looks like this:

Kaylee and Mal are in the bar. Now Kaylee is over by Dream.

"Ni hao." Her head is tilted slightly. Concernedly.

It's just a wee bit noticeable when Morpheus, Dream of the Endless, mopes.

[lord_of_dreams]

"Hello, Kaylee."

He dips his head in a nod to her,

"How are you enjoying tonight?"

[gonna_live]

"Pretty shiny so far. Weekend on the whole's been pretty shiny."

Pause.

"Glittered Jubal Early in the face."

Kaylee looks...proud of herself.

[lord_of_dreams]

"I am proud of you."

He even looks it, despite the icon.

"How did that come about?"

[gonna_live]

"He...came up behind me. And I was wearin' this. Have been all weekend. And...it had extra glitter on it. And so when I turned around, I had some in my hand, and...figured that was the best way to get away from him. So I did it and I ran."

Kaylee is grinning.

[lord_of_dreams]

He laughs, softly but with true humor.

"That was a wise thing you did. Is he still bothering you?"

[gonna_live]

Kaylee nods. "Anthy'd turned him into a frog, but...guess somehow he got turned back. And then he just showed up behind me last night. So he's still here. Somewhere. So I came in with the captain tonight, just in case."

[lord_of_dreams]

"You may always call on me."

He says quietly,

"And I will come, or inspire you, as you need."

[gonna_live]

"Figure you did last night. So. Xiexie." Her smile is quiet; it gravitates into concern. "Everything okay with you?"

[lord_of_dreams]

"I miss Moiraine."

"Miss" isn't the right word. The right word doesn't exist. Miss is close enough, for now.

[gonna_live]

"She's gone?"

Her eyes widen.

[lord_of_dreams]

"Back to her world, yes."

It hurts. It hurts him in ways that he can't even begin to tell Kaylee.

"I do not know when she will return."

[gonna_live]

"Oh."

Kaylee holds out a hand, meant to comfort. It's the only thing she knows to do.

[lord_of_dreams]

He places one of his in hers for a moment,

"I am morose, Kaylee, but do not let it bother you. I know that she will return at some point."

[gonna_live]

"Good." Kaylee's smile is small, and a little awkward. "Just want you to be okay, is all."

[lord_of_dreams]

The pale, cool hand of Dream gives hers a small squeeze,

"I will be. I promise you."
