Her outfit, however, might cause a second look.
She turns, and sees Amy, and Anne is glowing.
Literally. There is golden glitter in her hair and on her shoulders and eyelashes, and it catches the light rather prettily.
"Amy! I see it happened to you, too."

She notices the glitter. "Did Lilly Kane get you, too?"

"...no, she didn't."

"But someone did?"
Reply
"No. That is--well, Lilly put glitter on Bran, and then--I--he--oh, Amy!"
She is laughing now, and delighted and likely happier than Amy has seen her in some weeks.

"He--oh, Amy. He's so wonderful. And he likes me even though my hair is red, and he knows poetry, and brought me flowers once, and he liked the pie that we made. And I'm so happy."

But Amy can't help but think that there's at least one other boy who likes Anne's read hair, and reads poetry, and seemed to quite like tht pie. As for flowers, Amy' pretty sure Gil would bring them if he thought Anne would accept them.

"Thank you," she says, simply, beaming.

"So, what happens next? And what about Gilbert?"

"I'm not sure, honestly," she says, and takes Amy's hand to sit with her by the fire. "All that I know is that I truly care for him, and he seems to truly care for me. And--that's all right. It's all right to not know, I think."
But now she looks bewildered. "What about Gilbert?"
