[empath_wiggin]

Val comes in from the back door, a pile of books in her arms, and a bottle of ink precariously placed on top of it. She's singing to herself, but freezes when she sees a certain person in the bar. For a long moment, she just stands there frozen, but eventually walks over, blankly staring.

"Pardon me," the teen says as she finds herself near Val in mid-stride, "But do you know much about this place?"

[empath_wiggin]

Val blinks, but smiles a bit. "Um, yeah I do, actually. I've been here about a year, and I'm a waitress." A smile. "What do you want to know?"

[asylum_alice]

"What are the consequences for eating the food?"

[empath_wiggin]

Balink. "Well, nothing, really. As long as you dont' try the curry or eat anything that's been left out." She shrugs. "The food's actually rather good."

[asylum_alice]

"One doesn't grow smaller or taller? I might fancy a bit of normalcy in my eating. Have you seen the Queen? Is she here, or her card-guards?"

[empath_wiggin]

"I haven't heard of anyone who has gotten any smaller or taller, but it's possible, I guess, to ask the bar for something." She pauses. "And, well, I dont' know what Queen you're speaking of, so I don't think that she's here. I haven't seen any card guards either."

[asylum_alice]

"Well, that's a relief." She tilts her head. "I hope that doesn't mean she'll have her guards come crashing in at any moment. Knowing her, it's going to happen. We'd best get ready for it don't you think?"

[empath_wiggin]

"I guess we should be, then." She blinks a bit. "Tell me about the Queen, actually. What's she like? Well, other than the evil that I'm assuming."

[asylum_alice]

"She lives in the Castle, and at a body's slightest mistake, she has her men cut off people's heads. She's having her men be mean to the regular people of Wonderland, enslaving them, torturing them and making them work in the mines all day."

[empath_wiggin]

Val blinks. "That's horrible. I certainly hope she doesn't show up here." She shivers. "However, we have Secuirty who would be more than happy to control her."

[asylum_alice]

"I'd hope so. But if they can't, I will." She looks determined.

[empath_wiggin]

"Not that I can do an awful lot, but I'd be more than happy to help if anything came up." She has a bit of a steely look in her eyes.

She smiles. "I can't do an awful lot either. But determination will win the day, be sure of that."
