Saturday nights - gourmet nights and therefore Dr Lecter's prerogative. Which is just as well because Gil's in a stroppy mood tonight and in no right frame of mind to stuff a mushroom

Gaspode has just delivered another basket full of herbs to the kitchen and is delighted to walk ito Gil. "Hallo Gil. How have you been? Is Asar-Suti already back?"
"Hey, Gaspode," Gil smiles. "No, no sign of him. I thought I spotted the luck dragon by the lake the other day but ..." He shrugs. "We'll just have to look after his plants for him and so forth and trust to luck.
"Fine, thanks. Collecting herbs, reading, practising my shape-changing... There are still times when I end up with fur in my face or ears stuck in one shape, things like that, you know."
Naraht is just about to head outside when she sees Gil exit the kitchen.
"Oh! Excuse me, sir!" she calls out as she reverses the Dendromys and heads toward him. "Pardon me. My name is Naraht. Do you work with the kitchens here?"
She grins widely. "Actually, you can help me by saying how I can help you."
Naraht lifts her tailfin above the water of the tank. "It's a long story, but this is not my original form. The extras I've caught, I've given to Bar in case you in the kitchen needed it. But I thought it might be more efficent to ask if you cared for any particular kind or amount."
She shrugs. "I figure, I have to make some small inroads on my tab while I'm confined here, at least."
"Oh good plan," Gil says with a smile, "and it's a very nice form uniquely suited to fishing."
He considers a moment. "We use quite a lot of salmon and trout. Eels can be useful. I take it that it's just freshwater fish or do we have sea-living varieties here as well?"
"Oh, no," Gil puts down the glasses in his hands immediately and goes to put his arms around her. "What happened? last I heard you two were happy as bugs."
