Deare Dr. Crow,

Sory ower talk was interuptd...may we speek at lenth sometyme tomorow?

"Will you give this to Dr. Crowe, please, Bar?" The note disappears. "Thank you, Bar."

Now it is to be seen whether poor Dr. Crowe can decipher Elaine's atrocious spelling. At least the handwriting is neat.
