After her bath yesterday, Mel slept for longer than she's ever slept at once, waking up when Mikey returned after happy hour, and then staying with him all night. The best night in well over a month.

Now the familiar sight of the damp haired Slayer has returned to your Milliways morning. She missed this.

"Mel!" Look, there's a pyro sitting next to her. Bouncing. Yes, once can bounce while sitting. If one is sufficiently excited and tweenagerish.

One certainly can. Mel, however, just grins widely.

"Hey, Sparky. Miss me?"

"Sparky, Patches, I sound like a stray pup." Ace grouses, but can't stay away from grinning for too long.
"Yes, quite a lot. Have fun at home?"

A smirk and a shrug.

"Yeah, it was rocketship. Gotta see my sister, get some Slaying done.

"It's home, y'know?"

She nods. She's not thinking about Perivale, but instead a very strange space and time ship that hummed comfortingly.
"Sister... the one on the police force?" She asks. She can never keep straight who's related to who around here.

"That's right, Erin," she confirms. "Ten years older. Brought me up when my dad died."

"How's she doin'? Any new interesting turf wars?" Ace has always wondered what it's like from the cop's side of the fence.

Mel shrugs.

"Y'know, I have no idea. We don't talk about our respective jobs. They don't really mesh, y'know? But she's doin' fine."

[nitro_is_ace]

She snickers.
"Yeah, I see how that could get awkward. Do anything else fun while you were there?" Details, she hasn't been out of the bar for a while.

Mel considers this, and shrugs.

"Kinda the usual. Grabbed stuff, killed things. Tried out Timmy's rug.

"Which, by the way, is rocketship in the city."

Ace looks ever so slightly longing at that.
"Sounds like fun." More fun than hanging around a bar, anyway.

"Yeah, it was," she says with a grin. "missed you guys though."
