Ender and Valentine, clasping hands as though they are clasping their only hopes in sweating fingers, thread their way determinedly towards the door. They reach it, and Ender clasps the cool knob and begins to turn it

*She brushes some dust off of him, chuckling a bit*
But then again, I guess worse things could have happened to us than just being blown across the room. And, well, I think you're used to being blown across rooms, if what they've told me about Battleschool is true.
More like being shoved into a room and shooting my way down it. Or floating across one, if I must. But it got so I was doing mostly command work after awhile.
*looks thoughtful for a moment again, watching him pace*
There's something we have to do? Well, you know much more about objectives and accomplishing them than I do. I'll let you lead on this one. I have no clue why -I'm- here, but if you need help, then my place is with you.
*She smiles at him, seemingly happy to just be -seeing- him*
Well, it would seem that we have plenty of time to figure out what this mysterious Bar wants of us. Or, more likely, what it wants of you. I think I'm probably just here for the ride. And who the hell knows why Peter's here.
*She smiles back gently, a bit wistfully*
I grew up too, Ender. You grew up into a wonderful young man, though. You're still growing, too, and I'm not going to let you grow up more by yourself.
*Val blushes a bit untintentionally, smiling back at her brother*
Yes. I'm not letting anyone take you away again, Ender. I'll always be here to help you however you need me. And yes, we're going to take on this bar together, and give it what it wants, figure out what it wants us to figure out, and then go back. One of these days we'll find us a home, Ender. A home -together-.
I'm done with being a tool for others. I will not be used any longer. I've done my share of duty for those who would have me serve them. I'm done with atrocities.
*She clings to his hand for a moment, just looking into his eyes*
I'm not going anywhere, Ender. I promise.
*Her eyes look a bit wistful as he talks. He sounds so -old-*
Good. We'll find our way out of here, and find a place to live. Cause, I think we both want to start living, and perhaps, just maybe find a new life. A life that we both can live and be happy in.
Yes, we -were- trying to find a whole new planet, weren't we? This bar seems to be sapping some of my memory. Nothing is big enough for two Wiggins who want to live. We could take over the entire galaxy, and it wouldn't be large enough.
Ender, are you alright?
*She checks him over with a calculated eye, and a bit of panic in her voice, making sure he is in one piece*

Of course I am.
*His face falls*
I suppose we're not getting back to the ship that easily.

How are we going to get out of here?

I have no clue, Ender. I know nothing about this place. Perhaps if we talk to people around here, we can get some information.
*She sighs deeply for a moment, looking around her at all the well-wishers.

He begins to pace a little, thinking.
"We'll just figure out how to do it. It's like a game, really. We have to find out our objective and accomplish it."
He smiles at her. "It'll be be easier now than it was before."

You've always... you were always the one making me able to be. At all. You're...you're the thing making me run.
We'll be here together. Together.
I love you.

Wasn't that what we were trying to do? Find a whole new planet-- as though it'd be big enough for two Wiggins.

You underestimate us. If Peter were involved, the whole universe would be paltry.
