Having successfully braved the perils of yet another wardrobe crisis, Angel makes his way downstairs and stops by Bar for some pizza, and a drink.
...Wait, are those ice cubes in that soda? An impressive step, for someone who's spent the past few months avoiding cold as much as possible.

Maureen comes over right away. "Hey, Angel! How are you?"

(OOC: LOVE the icon. I just needed to say that.)

He grins. "Pretty good, really. Want some pizza?"
She might not, if she doesn't care for pineapple. Or bacon. Or copious amounts of cheese.

(OOC: ::grins:: Thanks muchly.)

"I'd love some." She loves pineapple. And all those other things. "So what's new since I saw you before?"

"Not a whole lot. Spent the last few days trying to sort out a wardrobe crisis, been wondering for a while now how to get Mark to actually talk to people about his latest project so he can really get started..." He shrugs. "Nothing too far out of the ordinary, really. You?"

"Um." She turns bright red and looks away. "You know. The usual. Joanne called, I went home, and now I'm back." Normally she wouldn't omit her conquests, but for some reason, she does. Everything feels different here - and she doesn't want any of it getting back to Mark, who's got a bad enough opinion of her as is.

He raises an eyebrow, thinking there's more to all that than she's said, but lets it slide for now. "So you and Joanne patched things up again? That's great."

"For now." She raises her eyebrows. "Who knows how long it'll last this time?"

"Guess we'll see." The way Angel sees it, whatever those two have has to be worth something to them, or else they wouldn't keep trying again.
"So now that you're more awake, what do you think of the bar?"

"I'm not sure," she answers honestly. "I've only met two others, so far." And she is not going into that. "It seems... interesting."

"Interesting is a good word for it. I've met all kinds of people here."

"Really? Like who? I've met a werewolf and a guy who... well, I'm not actually sure what he does, but it has something to do with show business. How many worlds are these people from?" She's getting used to the place, but she still has lots of questions. And who better to ask than a non-judgmental friend?

"Most of the people I've met are from Earth, of some sort, but there're people around from all kinds of places, if I've heard right. And if the fact that one of the waitresses married Luke Skywalker about a month ago is any indication."

"Um." Maureen blinks. "Okay. That's more... interesting... than I was expecting, but sure."

"Just don't go telling people you know them from a movie or whatever - I think it's considered bad form. And I'll have to introduce you to Val, one of these days. She's brilliant, much as she likes to say otherwise."

"Okay. I won't." She totally would've - good thing Angel's around to warn her. "Who's Val?" Curiously.

"Val's the waitress I mentioned. She's usually down here, and I swear she's unofficially adopted half the customers. She looks out for people." He grins, and decides not to mention just now that half the time, Val forgets to take care of herself because she's worrying about other people.
