Guppy wanders over, attracted by the facts that Aziraphael is cheerful and that he hasn't spoken to him before.

Guppy smiles and sits down.

There might also be an occasional snicker from the direction of the semi-industrious Ace. There's something about an angel trying to sing a tuba solo that just gets her going.

*Aziraphael looks at her sidelong and increases the volume of his poms, slightly*

She has to snap her pocketknife back to keep from cutting off her own fingers, since laughing and carving really aren't terribly mixy things.
Idly she wonders if there's a tuba section in heaven. If there isn't, there should be.

"Thank you. The bar gave it to me, since I can't get to my other books."

*he almost succeeds in hiding his wince*

Now, seperation from books isn't a fate I'd wish on anyone. Are you bound?

*Aziraphael smiles back. He's feeling particularly cheerful*

"Are you having a good day, then?" She can't imagine he's having any other sort, really.

Oh, rather, yes. Terribly productive. I met a nice young man at a car boot sale who had a stunning collection of books from the early twentieth century, and he was most reasonable as far as price went. And then we got to talking over a vile cup of tea, and he agreed to take me along to a couple of salvage missions he's got lined up.
