*Crowley's in the bar. Don't worry if you didn't see him come in - he probably hasn't been there all that long. He's got a half-bottle of white and looks, overall, to be in a rather good mood (which is a pleasant change). He's flipping through a newspaper, but feel free to wander over. He's feeling gregarious*

*Tom spies the familiar gang of four and smiles. He walks over to the table.*

Hullo, all. How is everyone tonight?

Hey, Tom.

*she grins tiredly and kicks out a chair*

How goes?

young_tmriddle March 12 2005, 03:09:12 UTC
About as well as it goes for you, it would seem. I'm bloody knackered.

*her brow furrows*

What's up?

Nothing out of the ordinary. Well, not out of the ordinary for London Below, anyway. Lots of appointments. Lots of talking. Lots of thinking.

*He takes a deep drink of the scotch.*

And more to come. Bloody nocturnal culture...

*She nods sympathetically.*

I'm sure it's awfully hectic. They London Belowers don't seem like the most...easily led people.

*Tom laughs. Loudly*

It's like herding cats.

Oh, that good, huh?

*Tonks laughs with him*

I don't know how you manage, honestly.

I smile and let Door do most of the talking, to be honest. She's brilliant, and they all love her.

clumsy_auror March 12 2005, 03:38:22 UTC
Well, she's one of their own, and that helps. Not that you don't belong there now, too, but she's the one they've always known.

young_tmriddle March 12 2005, 03:41:14 UTC
Well, I don't really belong there, and they all know it. There is an Underside-wide bias against Topsiders in general and magic-users specifically. We can walk between the worlds with no consequence - none of them like me overly much.

Door is certain this will change over time, but we are both very lucky she's so highly regarded.

You definitely are, yeah. It must be hard for her, still, being so young with so much responsibility.

young_tmriddle March 12 2005, 04:00:04 UTC
She was born to this, Tonks. I mean, it is hard for her, and she's very tired, but she's in her element out there.

*He shakes his head, smiling.*

I'm just pleased I can be with her throughout it all, even though she has never stopped insisting that she's more worried about my health and welfare when we're out and about. She's fearless.

*she grins*

I've said it before, and I know I'll say it again, but -- you two are good for one another, Tom. Very good.

*He smiles and glances toward the House of Arch painting.*

We are. We really are. Amazing how that happens, eh? I mean, who'd have thought it would take the bar at the end of the bloody universe to find the one destined for you.

Speaking of which, you and Bernard doing well? Has work begun on your new rooms?

clumsy_auror March 12 2005, 04:17:05 UTC
*Grinning, she nods enthusiastically.*

Yeah! It looks grand -- the flat's going to be enormous, with lots of neat details. Bernard's designed most of it.

*she looks proud*
