[ooc: Pre-MilliwaysA 7-foot werewolf flies through the doors of Milliways, crushing a couple chairs in the process. The beast is still for only a moment before it roars to its feet, drawing itself to its full height, ears twitching at the noise, nose sniffing at the air. It knows something is different, but not exactly what ( Read more... )

Richard watched as Gil fainted and was swept away by Asar-Suti, then he jumped and ran toward an empty corner of the restaurant hoping to distract the beast away from the other patrons and Bar herself. He chucked a highball glass at it's head.

"Hey, you great smelly berk, over here!"

The glass hits the werewolf in the head, which does NOT make it happy - at all. The werewolf turns on the wee little barman and stalks menacingly in his direction.

"Um, shit."

The werewolf is moving away from the others, which is good, but it's also moving toward Richard, which is bad. Richard also happened to pick a corner away from the doors and staircases, which is very bad. He draws his knife, glad that he has it, but hoping like hell that he doesn't have to use it. Fighting a werewolf with a knife means getting close to the werewolf, and, you guessed it, That's Bad. He looks around desperately for other things to throw, and finds another glass. Hell, he'll throw chairs if he has to.

He won't need to throw anything...

The werewolf sails through the air, jaws wide, it lands, pinning Richard to the ground, teeth sinking into the barman's shoulder. There is much pain and probably a fair amount of blood... especially since the barman's knife made it's way through a part of the werewolf's forearm.

Richard screams in pain as his flesh is torn and ribs are crushed in the fall. He thrashes and kicks, which only tears the bite open further. He tries to use the knife, but everything hurts and the handle is too slick with blood.

Faith curses and runs over, wielding the knife. "Bad puppy!" she raises the knife in the air and drives the hilt into the werewolf's snout as hard as she can. "Bad, bad puppy! No biscuit! Don't bite the help!"

"Dammit Faith." He murmurs, shaking his head and leaps, arm locking around the werewolf's neck, his other hand grabbing his own wrist to squeeze. Lack of oxygen=unconsciousness. That's the plan.

The werewolf snorts and sneezes at the thump to it's nose.

Then gag's a bit at the strong vampire arms around its neck.

*Claire arrives, sees that Faith's got the werewolf by the nose, so to speak, and drags Richard away, wrapping power bonds around the bitten arm as pressure bandage and splint.

Once they're far enough away that the werewolf won't get close without effort, she double-checks the bandages and then heads back to the fray.*

Richard lays where's left for a few moments, panting and trying to take stock the damage. His ribs are broken, his right shoulder is torn open, and those bones feel broken too, his right hand is covered in blood, but he thinks it's mostly the wolf's, and the back of his head hurts from the fall. His left arm and both legs seem fine, so he tris to roll to his left side to stand. He can't and he screams in agony.

*Claire rushes back to him, notices the change of position, and puts her hand to his forehead*

Sleep, friend.

*as he drops off, she rolls him onto his back, laying him out straight, and searches for any bleeding that she'd missed before. She finds none, reinforces the sleeping spell so he won't aggravate his wounds any more than he already has, and runs off to join in the fray, pulling more power as she goes.*

Richard tries to speak to the girl, but she's too fast for him. His muscles go slack, his mind goes blank, and he drops off into a deep sleep.
