His light is not sunlight, but the light of one who lived in a light greater than the sun; not a harsh or hurting light, too terrible to behold, but not gentle, either. It is fascinating to her.
The clear, pale blue edges of the harpstring shadows vibrate faster than human eye should be able to see, singing out sounds untouched by any impending doom. The melody is entrancing, peaceful, bringing an unconscious up-turn to the corners of her mouth.
