"It indicates how well the being underneath it, it seems," Teja says. "Guppy called it a Sims Diamond. But there seems to be a crack in the Window, also. And then that." He gestures at the trough. "The bar isn't usually that literal."
"Indeed," Teja says, "so if the window is indeed threatened, then that is what we are facing -- time racing towards the final end, unfettered like a bolting horse, pulling us with it into the abyss."
"I could send any that are Bound but alive, through the door to the world of my people, when the worst comes to the worst," Teja says. "They are early Vikings, and live by the work of their own hands and the bounty of the land, but they are hospitable, and I have warned my former cup-bearer Adalgoth that I might send friends, if doom strikes."
He can use the amusement.
"And now," he says, "you only need to find a horse that drinks hot coffee, and all is well!"

He does take a mug, though, and scoops himself some coffee from the trough.

He nods at the odd green crystal that is slowly turning as it hovers above the counter, wary of what it might signify.

That is not good, not at all. He glances over towards the Window, searching for obvious signs of damage.
