Teja has been nearby, and when he sees the trough materialising, he gives a brief but true laugh.

He can use the amusement.

"And now," he says, "you only need to find a horse that drinks hot coffee, and all is well!"

"Billy's horse has a habit of eatin' spaghetti, but this might be a bit rough on a horse's stomach," he says, giving Teja a tight smile.

"Though they could use it, given the way the winds have changed out there. I ain't ever felt it so cold."

"It is but a tiny part of what ails this place," Teja says, deeply earnest again.

He does take a mug, though, and scoops himself some coffee from the trough.

"It's pretty good," he says, about the coffee. Teja's comment about things ailing the bar does unsettle him, though.

"What other things have happened? I know about the explosion and the crater, and I can see..."

He nods at the odd green crystal that is slowly turning as it hovers above the counter, wary of what it might signify.

"...that."

"It indicates how well the being underneath it, it seems," Teja says. "Guppy called it a Sims Diamond. But there seems to be a crack in the Window, also. And then that." He gestures at the trough. "The bar isn't usually that literal."

"A crack in the Window?"

That is not good, not at all. He glances over towards the Window, searching for obvious signs of damage.

"It cannot be seen, or measured," Teja says, "but Yrael said it is there."

"That ain't a good sign."

He sips the coffee, contemplating just what he may need to do to keep those he cares for safe.

"If it fails, that will spell the end of this whole place," Teja says. "One would assume the time loop would break from that, also."

"It probably would. Then it really would be the end."

"Indeed," Teja says, "so if the window is indeed threatened, then that is what we are facing -- time racing towards the final end, unfettered like a bolting horse, pulling us with it into the abyss."

"Has anyone thought about what...is there a safe world we could go to, in the event we needed to escape?"

"I could send any that are Bound but alive, through the door to the world of my people, when the worst comes to the worst," Teja says. "They are early Vikings, and live by the work of their own hands and the bounty of the land, but they are hospitable, and I have warned my former cup-bearer Adalgoth that I might send friends, if doom strikes."
