Tom Riddle, Lord of the House of Arch, is not best pleased. He steps into Milliways from the House of Arch painting, having heard rumors of the strange happenings in the bar.

He hasn't been here in quite some time. It's not that he hasn't wished to visit, but time flows both quickly and slowly in the Underside, and he and Door have been far busier

"Tom?"

Hey look, it's an Andrew.

[young_tmriddle]

"Andrew, how good it is to see you."

He's not entirely sure how long it's been. He's lost the ability to track time as it passes in the city above.

"I've heard there is trouble here."

Again.

"I just got here like twenty minutes ago, but something is definitely weird. Have you seen the sky out back?"

[young_tmriddle]

"I haven't been here for... I couldn't even tell you how long it's been. What's wrong with the sky out back?"

[stilljustandrew]

"It's red, is what. I'd say 'sailor take warning', but it's not just the morning, it's all day."

[young_tmriddle]

"Hmm. Sounds like a trickster at work. Are there any new or old ones returned of late?"

[stilljustandrew]

Trickster. His mind flashes back to a conversation almost a year ago --

"Dunno," he says slowly. "Might be worth asking around."

[young_tmriddle]

"What a bother. The rats seems terribly restless, too."

[stilljustandrew]

"Huh." Frowning. "If I was home I'd say those sound like portents, but ... "

[young_tmriddle]

"But you're here," he muses, looking around. And then up.

"What the bloody hell is that?" He points to the green crystal floating over the bar.

"... it looks like a Sims character crystal."

Dubiously.

[young_tmriddle]

"A what?"

While he still enjoys his laptop with computer games, the Sims is not one of them.

[stilljustandrew]

"Sims? It's a simulator game. You basically ... run a suburban household full of artificial people? Not artificial intelligences," he clarifies quickly, "just game dolls. I never really got into it."

[young_tmriddle]

He raises an eyebrow.

"Good Lord. The dogs in the painting got word to me that there was an explosion or an earthquake or somesuch the other day? That's happened before, but usually these things come one at a time."

[stilljustandrew]

"An earthquake?" He looks a little alarmed.

[young_tmriddle]

Tom nods.

"Door didn't want me to come here, period, but it's my responsibility, since the portal connects the bar to the House of Arch."
