This is not the face of a pleased Lady.

Marian comes in about an hour after this. Having been escorted home, then argued and been denied the right to even see her father. Perturbedness flashing across her face at the realization of Milliways existing at her ( Read more... )

William's spent most of the day trying to calm the horses who don't like the changes and is currently at a table with some dinner.

She looks like something out of a book and he's not wearing his hat so he touches his forehead, "Yes, ma'am though no one's sure what's happenin', but it ain't good."

Marian looked to her side until she found boy. The Bar couldn't seriously need her mother than her father, and still felt herself take the first steps in through the doorway. Door knob still in her hand, door still open. She's had so many years to learn.

"What has happened so far?"

"There's a green thing above the counter, had an earth quake, sky's gone red and everyone's spooked, ma'am,"

He doesn't blame her for not coming all the way in, he rode in a few moments after the quake and almost turned around.

"And no one knows, if it's magic? Who's behind it?"

"No, ma'am. Mrs. Reynolds was tryin' to understand the green thing but didn't get an answer when we talked. I know at least one god don't know either,"

And apparently there's doom waiting for Thalia on her side of her door, but William's trying to not think about that.

Mrs. Reynolds was nice people, for as much as Marian knew her. The whole bar staff in general were reliable like that. But her gaze was tracking toward the security hall. Surely, someone else must already know. Already be working on this.

Her father. Her father. "Which God?"

"Apollo, ma'am, the one from the world with Percy Jackson in it if you know him or Annabeth or Thalia. Ain't really had a chance to talk with lots of other folks yet as the horses don't like it. I've been out there with them tryin' to do what I can to see they don't get hurt,"

She looks like she's expecting something, he just wishes he had more to tell.

She doesn't know all the names, but a lot of them end up sounding familiar when you read over other security files. There are hundreds, thousands of names here.

"Are they well?" Comes out of her mouth without much thought, considering her own horse tabled there. The great unnamed beast who really ought to have a name after how many years he'd been here.

"As well as I can get 'em, ma'am. I've spent all day goin' from stall to stall bein' as reassurin' an soothin' as I can,"

It's something he's good at as he learned from his father to push all the worries down where no one can see them.

Please. By the strength of what little patience she is managing for this moment. Please. "And is there someone on security organizing anything? Making sure everything and everyone is fine?"

"Not that I've seen yet, ma'am. Don't mean it ain't happenin', I just haven't seen them. I'm sorry that I don't know more."

"It's fine -- " She left off the end, with a questioning tone and look, as she had no name to put at the end of her sentence. It did not seem like she would be appealing to Vasey in an next moment. Slowly, she brought the door to close behind her. Not liking it. Rather certain The Bar would not without great need. Yet still.

"William Evans, ma'am,"

He looks down into his coffee as the way she's so deliberate with the door makes him feel like he's looking where he shouldn't.

"Lady Marian," She nodded. "And thank you. You've been quite helpful."

"I'm going to have to write at least a short report, or see if anyone else has. I'll probably put a flyer up on the notice board." She considered the room. "If you see anyone or hear anything, that you or they think might be related, you could encourage them to write a note for security on the paper?"
