"Hey, kiddo!" Annabelle calls out cheerfully. "I know it's not your birthday, as you just had one not too long ago. What's the occasion?"

"Annabelle! Nope, it's my Milliversary! Five years!"

"Congratulations!" she says with a grin. "You must have been a tiny little thing when you first found the place," she teases.

"I was! I was still shorter than Dot."

And that's short, from where he's standing now.

It is, especially since he's quite a bit taller than Annabelle now!

"Hah. Can't say that now!" she replies with a chuckle. "If you keep growing, you're going to be hitting your head on the tops of doorways."

He grins. "Don't worry, I've only got a few more inches."

"That's good. It would be embarrassing for a Guardian to be whacking his head on doorways when he's charging to the rescue," she replies with a wink.

"Speaking of Guardians, how's the introducing folks to Users thing going back home?"

"It's going good! I brought Dani and they liked her, but they didn't mob her too much, so that's a win. 'Course, when we went out afterwards, we had like 128 'bodyguards'. And other bodyguards keeping those bodyguards from ruining our date. Code knows what the civilians thought."

Annabelle can't help but snicker at that. "Who knows indeed. I bet all kinds of interesting rumors got spawned."

"Rumours, I can deal with. They probably thought it was some kind of game, though. Or a training exercise."

"Useful," Annabelle says with a nod. "It makes things simpler when civilians don't go poking around, that's for sure."

[a1enzo]

"Yeah, well, they're used to us in the Supercomputer. If it were a smaller system, then you'd get the real rumours."

"Nothing like the small town rumor mill," Annabelle agrees. "I swear, it sometimes seems that rumor spreads faster than sound..."

"No kidding. Have I told you what they think I am in Dani's world?"

[aeons_crackshot]

"I don't think so," she says after a moment of thought. "What do they think you are?"

"A prince. I mean, not everyone believes it, but that's what got into the comic books."
