"You might scare the Muggles with those," Scorpius says, pointing at the pile.

"With the bang and the smoke?" she says. "Yeah, possibly.

"I can warn people, though.

"Thank you for the scarf, Scorpius." Which is is now wearing as the mun has remembered to write the other half of the EP *facepalms*.

"It's very pretty."

"You're welcome. I didn't know if you would like it, but the saleswoman at Gladrags Wizardwear said a girl would, so. But, uhm - They do like to push products too..."

He frowns slightly, then shakes his head. Where was he?

"Anyway! I'm glad you like it."

"I like it a lot," Lily says.

"Happy Christmas.

"D'you want something to drink? Cracker?"

"I'll have a butterbeer? A warm one, thanks."

And while she's getting that for him, he'll reach over and snag a cracker for himself.

"Is it still summer for you?"

It's very festive. Scorpius grins at the sight of it.

"Cheers. And it is, yeah. Have you gone back to Hogwarts yet?"

"Yeah, we got back yesterday," Lily says. "Back in classes today.

"Oh, and, um, James and I might have made a spectacle of ourselves on Platform 9 3/4."

"Snog him in front of everyone?"

"Yeah, pretty much," Lily says, laughing.

"Christmas break's a fortnight, remember?"

"I did suggest the midnight rendezvous."

A fortnight is a rather long time...

"Oh, trust me, I'm keeping it in mind for Easter," Lily says.

Of course, by then they'll have been dating for months, and that sort of thing is slightly less ahead of themselves.

"Though maybe less midnight and more early evening, you know?"

Scorpius laughs. "Does the hour make that much of a difference?"

"Well, there are a lot more hours after early evening than there are after midnight," Lily says, practically, but with a rather less than straight face.

"And you're not nearly so tired, either."

"Fair points. I haven't fallen asleep on Albus yet, though. I'm usually too excited that I'm wide-awake by the time we're meeting up. Not that we've met up a lot at midnight. Just, er - A couple of times, so far."
