Here's a face that hasn't been seen in the Bar much of late. It's a face that looks just a bit weary. And a bit tanned.

Knox might hear the sound of a loud bang from the direction of the doorway, followed by Carlotta and quite a lot of smoke.

[gotham_knocking]

He looks up quickly, and see the smoke and then Carlotta. "Hey! You okay?" He gets up to see what happened.

[fiery_ring]

"I... I'm not sure." Carlotta says, coughing slightly in the smoke.

[gotham_knocking]

"Should I get Guppy?" He takes her to a seat not far from the door outside, and therefore not near the smoke.

Have a new face, Knox. One you might just have a little bit in common with. For now, Tess simply looks up from her coffee. "Rough day?"

Hm. Nice face. Not familiar though.

"Rough couple of weeks. My dad decided it was time to have a heart attack. And then decided to be the world's worst patient.

"And I cannot begin to say how much I can't stand going to Florida."

[have_no_mercy]

"It sounds like he's bouncing back." Tess doesn't sound much like she cares; it's not exactly a situation she can relate to.

"Can't say I blame you about the south, though. I'm not overly fond of it myself."

He doesn't expect sympathy from strangers. But she did ask.

"Too hot, even in January. Bugs everywhere. And dull.

"Where you from?"
